EVENT INFORMATION

Thank You for your interest in the 2010 FRM Jet Rally.  This year the event will be directed by Craig Roberts FRM Membership Chairperson.  Craig directed this event before in the interim between Dave Fusinato and Mark Taylor.  Craig has also directed dozens of FRM events.
The event will run, as last year, from Thursday through Saturday with flying available on Sunday.  Wednesday arrival is permitted and dry camping is available.

This year will be a little lower key than in the past, but SAFETY will be our main concern.  AMA SAFETY RULES will be enforced as well as FRM Field Safety Rules (posted at the field).  There will be a Safety Briefing Friday and Saturday morning before the event starts.  Thursday will be open flying for event participants; and open to all members after 5 pm.

Our runway is 650 long and 75 feet wide.  We have a generous shaded, paved pit area with electrical outlets available. 
Night Flying will be permitted and encouraged.  There will be NO alcohol allowed in the pits during the event or for one half hour after the day’s official event end time. 

We will have Flight Line Directors as we did last year and they have absolute control of the staging and flight lines.  There will also be an Air Boss to monitor flying with the authority to Ground any planes he deems necessary.
Saturday night we will hold a Free Spaghetti Feed for pilots, crew and event workers.  Spaghetti will be prepared by Mic’s Junk Yard Dogs, one of the food vendors at the event.  Mike does a homemade spaghetti sauce that is to die for.  Feast includes salad, garlic bread and drink.

You are welcome to bring music to fly a routine to if you desire, Check with us to schedule flight times.  We have a CD player or can hook up to an iPod or other mp3 player.

We are currently trying to schedule a noon time landing of the CHP helicopter H-40 as part of the noon time display line up on Saturday.
Awards will be presented for:  People’s Choice, Pilot’s Choice, Best Looking Scale, Most Impressive Looking non-scale, Bomb Drop.
